SoftPerfect RAM Disk is a high-performance RAM disk program designed to help you have a disk on your computer entirely stored in the memory. As the memory is much faster than physical hard disks, it makes sense to store temporary data on a fast in-memory disk to achieve a higher performance. The program creates a virtual disk residing in the computer RAM accessible in Windows Explorer and other applications, allowing you to store any temporary information on this disk. Possible causes of this error could be:
IMDisk
Give it a try, IMO it's even better than Softperfect.
With that said, I found that ImDisk Toolkit doesn't have these features yet. The options Launch at Windows Startup and Create TEMP Folder are not the same as SoftPerfect's Add Boot Disk and Create Folders.
Before I posted my reply, I checked in forums and youtube videos. The RAM Drive created by ImDisk Toolkit is created at Windows startup.
— auto create folders is easy, one uses «Load Content from Image File or Folder» (which also provides a selection which folders to sync (which folders content survives a reboot))
With SoftPerfect Ram Disk, I don't need to create or load an image. I just enter folder names and they are automatically created when the RAM Drive is loaded.
In any event, I have been using SoftPerfect Ram Disk for many years that it would be hard for me to replace it with another program.
