This app is still performing its job excellently with YouTube.
If your usage is limited to YouTube only, then it still works perfectly without any updates.
You simply need to avoid updating the application and turn off update options from the app settings as well.
And if you're using a firewall, don't allow it when the update popup appears.
That's all you need to do.
If, like me, your use is limited to YouTube, then you can continue using this version without updating it.

Create a shortcut for the loader file and always use this loader to launch SongGet.
Click on «Try» every time. Done.
(If there's a problem with signing in, close the app and open it without using the loader file. Complete the sign-in process. Then close the app again, and this time, run it using the loader.)
I've just tried it, and both the loader and the software (SongGet v6.0.0.1) are working perfectly. Files are downloading without issue.

Only by merging the «RegMe.reg» file into the registry, the program is getting registered — I don't need the loader file.
