HijackThis+ (formerly: HiJackThis Fork v3) is a tool that can detect and fix changes to the most vulnerable areas of the operating system made by adware, spyware, malware and other unwanted programs.
HijackThis+ scanning is not based on blacklists, specific programs or URLs, but only on the methods used by the malware. Because of this, the program does not need constant updates. As a minus: its results display both malicious and legitimate objects. Therefore, you cannot delete everything. This is quite guaranteed to harm the system. The assessment of the harmfulness of objects in the report should be carried out by an information security specialist or a sufficiently experienced user.
Users are expected to research all scanned items manually, and only remove items from their PC when absolutely appropriate.
