croc v10.0.7
croc is a free and platform-independent command line tool for sending files easily and securely between two computers. After entering a passphrase, the files are sent end-to-end encrypted ( PAKE ) either over the local network or over the Internet.
It is extremely easy to use: The sender receives [croc send <Dateiname>] a generated passphrase, which the recipient enters. After confirmation by the recipient, the transmission starts.
The file transfer takes place directly between the clients without having to upload the files to a server first. A relay server is used to establish the connection, so port forwarding or the operation of a local server is not necessary. Optionally, you can also set up your own relay server, enforce the (generally prioritized) use of the local network or define your own passphrase. A configuration file can be used to use frequently used parameters.
croc supports parallel file transfers as well as the automatic resumption of interrupted transfers. The use of proxies is also possible. No installation is required.croc is free and is licensed under the MIT license. In addition to Windows, macOS and Linux, BSD is also supported.
Instructions on use and configuration can be found on the website, in the croc Github Repository and in the readme file included in the download.
