Thanks for this post. NO one keys you posted here can't work with this (5) version. Keys here is ONLY for old 4 version. Version 5 needs new keys.

When you run the official installer, it will offer three install mode:
No matter what you choose, you can use the keygen afterwards to patch file and generate license.
Hence, there's no more need to create a portable. The official installer already provides it.

I wanted to ask a question I've been wondering for quite some time. Whenever there is a new release posted on the main page, and I'll use this release for Beyond Compare 5.2.4, the post on the main page lists the updated software, and I will click it, but every single time when I get into the page, it's NEVER showing the updated version reported on the main page. Using this update as an example, the main page listed the update for 5.2.4 and I'm looking in here and I see nothing but 5.2.3. It not only says 5.2.3, but when I download what is listed as being updated, it too is still the older version.
It's like this every single time for just about everything, it takes a while, and I don't know what ultimately causes the update to the new version, but this is my standard experience for quite a long time on this site. I am not complaining, I am simply reporting my experience and curious if it is something I am doing incorrectly.
Either way, love this site and I'll be here regardless of silly issues like this. Thank you to everyone who helps make the site possible.
